Yesterday, I watched this episode, named ‘My name is Amy Grey’, very accidentally and I really liked it. I’ve not been a very strong ‘Judging Amy’ fan but I’ve watched several episodes of series. Most of them are okay, and that’s why ‘Judging Amy’ is a successful drama.

You know buddies; downloading TV shows is my favorite pastime. Yesterday, I was looking to download Friends episodes but suddenly I came across ‘Judging Amy’ finale. So, I downloaded it and started watching. It was really an appropriate series finale. We saw that Amy went off on a new career in order to right the wrongs of the Juvenile Justice System. I felt good at her decision to quit her job as a judge as it didn’t make her happy anymore. But on the other hand, Maxine was not that much supportive and I really didn’t expect it from her. I really like this kind of finales which give an end to series without any questions. It was also good to see that Maxine and Ignacio are together again. Perhaps! We could see more….

Well, no more of ‘Judging Amy’ after this episode. Fans wanted to see more, but network didn’t decide to renew it. Based on the no. of episodes of ‘Judging Amy’ that I’ve watched, I can say that it was a wonderful drama which showcased mother-daughter relationship in a unique way. How hard the life of a divorcee mother can be, show answers that. Amy and her mother’s characters were my favorite ones among the star cast of the show. I really liked their attitude to help the innocents and to ensure justice. But, what I didn’t like about both characters was- their single status. Both remained unmarried/ single which was not sort of okay. Whatever, ‘Judging Amy’ attracted fans and was very much liked by fans throughout its six season long run.
‘Judging Amy‘ was a wonderful show. Though the series has ended long time back but even today I miss the show. It was a beautiful show which talked about the relationship between three women from three generations. And, I seriously miss their company. Yesterday, while I was surfing net, I read an article on Amy Brenneman. These days the star is all busy shooting ABC’s ‘Private Practice’. The series is quite different from her previous one. The star herself admitted that, her role on ‘Private Practice’ is quite different from the one in ‘Judging Amy’. Amy, who was also the creator of the show, said that it was almost like a home to her while she was doing the series. As we all know that the show was based on her mother’s real life experience. But this time, she said, she has to be more professional and confine herself to her role.

Talking more about her experience she said that, while she was doing ‘Judging Amy’ it was like that she is married to the show and doing this one makes her feel that she is going around with some one. Both are two completely different things. But, she also said that she is having good time doing this show as she cannot be away from home, for eighteen hours, now that she has got two children.

She says that she is enjoying her role on ‘Private Practice’ and so are we. We definitely like to watch you in this new and different role. But we also miss you and your show ‘Judging Amy’. I personally feel that it is a good idea to stay around, so that your fans should not miss you. By the way, Amy, you are doing a good job in your new role and we love watching you in whatever you do.

Do you miss Judging Amy? I miss the show. It was a wonderful show. I like such kind of serious dramas. Have you ever paid attention to mother daughter relationship in Judging Amy? Everybody knows that the story is based upon the real life of Amy and her mother. It is shown in the show that how difficult it is to be a divorcee mother’s child.

Amy and her mother are too alike in nature and activities. Both are stubborn and both like justice and can do anything for the help of the person they are supporting, but still they are not pretty much close to each other. In fact at some places both are at odd terms. Like, it is said that it is difficult for two similar people to be together for long as they give complex top each other.
Here is one more similarity among the duo that both carry on looking for their true love and both are unlucky at that. Amy tries two men in the series. With one person she gets engaged as well but at the last moment she realizes that he is a bit dominating and convinces her to do those things which she doesn’t want to do, and it troubles her. She doesn’t want to lose her independency. Moreover she is already a divorcee. Her mom too had a last minute break up. The man she was going to marry dies 48 hours before the wedding. Both have not got married to anybody until the cancellation of the show.

I don’t know why they people cancelled the show, other similar shows are running since long and then what was the problem with this. In fact this was the show in which we were getting emotional and romantic drama along with the court hearings. I liked the way they highlighted different issues in the form of new cases or victims, getting help from Amy and her mom. Like child abuse and molestation issues which are still a serious and growing problem. This was the vision of the show that it thrown light on these issues three-four years in advance.
I think it happens to everybody that when you are regularly watching a show, you create an image of the actor or actress about her real life too. After one or two years after the finale of that show, you read some interview of that person from cast. Then you realize how different the person is in reality against your assumptions. You get more surprised when you find that the person is in resemblance with the character he or she played.

The similar happened to me. I just read an interview of Amy of Judging Amy. When the show was on, I was taking her as a very arrogant and stubborn personality. I thought that she hardly speaks to anybody from media and that’s why we haven’t seen her for long. But I was wrong. She told the reporter in her interview that she is like a homebody as she says” I can really waste a lot of time on the Internet”. She adds that she is a ‘lazy homebody’ and likes to stay away from red carpet appearances. She hates dealing with hair and make-up stuff and due to which she prefers staying home. It is really hard for me to digest that a Hollywood actress can have this simple life style. But it can be true because ‘Judging Amy’ was also based upon the real life experiences of her and her mother. So her role in the series was little closer to her real life. When we hear about somebody’s domestic dispute we too remain upset for a while and she was acting as the problem solver.
You won’t believe that this slim and fit actress is a great food lover and accepts that as she says that she’s a crab addict but she is lucky that she doesn’t gain weight so easily. Now she can be seen in Grey’s Anatomy spin off.
Its time to sing the rhymes and give the birthday gifts to Amy’s gifted Brother Vincent Grey. Will you believe that he just entered into 41st year of his life on june 8.
He looks very young against his age. Well when the show was on air, me and my friends used to talk about him that how good looking he is. Do you know he has appeared in movie ‘A Mighty Heart‘ with Angelina Jolie, and worked in ‘Sex and the city’ too. He’s a successful actor and Judging Amy was lucky to having him. Girls are ready to die for having a glimpse of him, and I am sure that major part of his fan following must be including girls.

In judging Amy too he has played the role of very Goody-goody person, and he was one of closest to Amy. And I’ve heard that the story of the judging Amy is based upon her real life experiences then does Dan has any connection with her real life or she has a Dan kind of brother in real life, anyways why to worry about this now when the show is off the screen. But yes I am pretty impressed of his role, as he does many petty jobs initially, and then gets an award for his book. He loves his sister so much and similarly he is close to Amy’s heart. He marries his girlfriend who is a cancer patient. This was the first time when he and Amy were angry with each other, and then he gave a surprise visit on Amy’s wedding with Stuart. Then both siblings unite again and their relationship becomes again sweeter like before.
If somebody has to give example of ideal brother and ideal sister then Amy and Vincent can be used at the place. But there was a grey shade too in his character in the show. In the end he tells Amy that he left his wife because he couldn’t handle the struggle of taking care of her. But over all his character was of an intellectual and caring guy and a little gray shade doesn’t decrease his brightness.

Currently, Judging Amy is on hiatus after season 6 and no news are here for season 7. Whether season 7 is coming or not?? It’s a question which is left unanswered after season 6 finale ‘My Name is Amy Gray ’. Season 6 finale was a well-rated episode and it left many cliffhangers unsolved, when will they be solved? I don’t know……. What you say? However, rumors are that series is not coming with season 7. So, okay let’s talk about season this season finale.
Episode was given the name ‘My Name is Amy Gray’ which Maxine tries to make improvements with Ignacio. Ignacio proposes to Maxine, who’s looking to adopt a 9 year girl which she saved. Actually, the girl is named Amber and has been raped. Later, the accused called Maxine to tell that the same man is there in the bathroom. Oh!! How bitter the truth was? That cruel woman was selling Amber for sex to that man.

Amy ponders on running for congress but Maxine is not supporting her. Marty wants Amy to deliver the speech he has written for her but Amy wants to speak on her own. Episode ends with Amy looking for someone she wished was in DC with her, and you what I guessed that it might be her mom.But actually it was Bruce. Then, she sees Bruce and says “You came” and Bruce replies “You called”.
Oh! Bruce we got him finally at the last moment. It was the biggest surprise made by series, I think…
